About Babe
Babe 100% human hair is being used by salons and stylists all over the world for its ability to maintain a radiant and smooth texture without using synthetic coatings like silicone. Babe hair is available in 25 colors and can be curled, flat-ironed, washed, conditioned, permed and even colored. Extension Methods
I-Tip
This method is also known as the bead method. These are all individual extensions that will last with lightweight beads which secure the extensions without damaging the natural hair.
The amount of hair to be used depends on the clients needs and desired final look. Here is a general idea of how much hair is used for each hair type.
Thick - 8-10 packages Medium - 5-8 packages
Fine - 4-7 packages
I-tip extensions may be reused 1-3 times depending on the quality of care taken by the client. With this method you can enjoy your extensions for 2-3 months, then at which time, the client will come in for the extensions to be moved back up to their starting position and a new bead will be applied.
Tape-In Method
This revolutionary method is done without the use of beads, clips, or glue. The take-in method is installed by placing the clients hair in between two individual extensions that lay exactly on top of each other.
This method is very easy to maintain, and when you run your hands over your hair you cannot feel the extensions. They look and feel extremely natural. Here is a general idea of how much hair is used for the Tape-in method.
Thick - 5-7 packages Medium - 4-6 packages
Fine - 3-5 packages
This method can be reused 1-3 times, again depending on the quality of care taken by the client. Tape-in extensions will be enjoyed for 4-6 weeks, at which time the client will come back in and the extensions will be gently removed using Babe® acetone-free Bond remover. Tape will be replaced and then re applied to the clients hair.
Tape-in extensions are a quick process. Whereas I-tip extensions would take anywhere from 2-4 hours, Tape-in extensions take only roughly an hour to apply.
Clip-In Extensions
Temporary extensions. Easily applied and removed, take in and out within minutes. When installed correctly they will stay in as long as needed. Offered in both human hair and heat-friendly synthetic.
When you opt for a Babe Extension service with Hair Design by Ashley Grubbs, here is what you can expect:
- Consultation - Client will come into the salon where we will discuss the optimal method of application
for the desired final look. Proper color(s) matching will be made. If the client decides to move forward
with the service, a contract will be signed agreeing to the maintenance schedule, proper care (ie
products, care, how to brush and maintain extensions, etc), and a deposit of $300 will be made.
- Day of Service - If color is needed, color service will be performed as well as cut if Hair Design by
Ashley Grubbs sees it necessary. If color service is not needed, client will be asked to come into the
Salon with clean hair that is dry and product free. If client is unable to come prepared, hair will be
shampoo'd and dried. Then the transformation begins! A personalized haircut will be provided to shape
the extensions into selected style and blended
- After the agreed upon of time has passed, the client will make and appointment to come back
to the salon for the touch up service to refresh the extensions.
